SUMMARY:House Concert with Jay Linden and Maia Waern
DESCRIPTION:This concert is the continuation of a country gathering this summer\, when Jay and I enjoyed an evening of swapping songs and stories. Our audience of friends and family had as much fun as we did\, so Jay and I have decided to do it again – but in Toronto this time… \n  \nThe concert venue address is available by request only because it is located in a private home. This allows us to avoid the bar scene gracefully\, to screen out the bad apples\, and to perform acoustically on soft chairs by the light of old lamps. \n  \nJay and I will be playing songs from our older CDs\, which will be available for $15. \n  \nWe will also be playing new (and old) songs that are studio-bound for our upcoming albums. \n  \nAnd\, here and there\, along the way\, we will indulge in a few cover songs. \n  \nJay and I are truly two apples from the same tree\, but not necessarily from the same branch! “Folk” doesn’t sum up our musical styles\, but it does describe an aspect that we share. \n  \nJay will be bringing his most faithful guitar\, his second-loudest kazoo (and the other one too)\, and other intriguing instruments with eccentric numbers of strings. \n  \nMaia will be bringing her new\, studio-ready Ohana concert ukulele\, her trusty old Alhambra classical guitar\, and her professionally-tuned gourd thumb piano. \n  \nHomemade snacks will be available\, and also welcome.  And BYOB\, if you like. \n  \nEmail for questions\, to RSVP\, and for location: maia@maiawaern.com  \n  \nThe best way to connect with Jay Linden online is on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Jay-Linden-20217774096
